The LRDP Resistance… The Fight for the Right of Nature

Right now at UC Santa Cruz there is a battle between the community and the UCSC Administration, over the fate of a 120 acre patch of precious and delicate redwood forest. Over Veterans Day Weekend I got glimpse of the tragedy that would be cast on the fragile ecosystem if the University got its way, and built structures that would include a running field and a biomedical facility that would sell the type of research they did to the highest bidder. On top of all this, non-violent protesters were getting clubbed by batons and sprayed with mace by police representing the University of California. In this interview I am with Jennifer Charles a representative of the resistance of this abysmal plan .I thought it was important to give you, a community member or affiliated person to a UC school a inside look on an increasing problem within the UC system.
