The UC Riverside Barn Concert series kicks off this Wednesday, September 30th with a night of live hip hop and funk, featuring Oakland’s Crown City Rockers, Slang (Soul Love ‘N’ Groove) and DJ Paul Barrera of KUCR’s Rap Up.

The Crown City Rockers fuse elements of jazz, soul & funk with hip-hop rhythms and their latest studio effort, The Day After Forever  will be sold at today’s show as it will be their Riverside CD release show.

Local favorites Slang will open up the party with funky jams, and DJ Paul B. will be spinning some fresh beats.  So be sure to come early and catch the whole show.

It’s been a long season without some live music going down at the barn, so we’re definitely bringing it back in style at a show you won’t want to miss! Doors open at 7:30pm, with music starting at 8:00. This is an all ages show. The Barn is located off University Ave. on West Campus Drive. Parking is $5 dollars.
