      HALLOWEEN COSTUME ETIQUETTE:

In preparation for our upcoming Halloween concert at The Barn, we’d like to emphasize the importance of respectful Halloween costume choices. Maintaining a positive and considerate atmosphere for all attendees, including students, faculty, staff, customers, and fellow concert-goers, is essential. To ensure everyone has an enjoyable time, please adhere to the following costume guidelines:

Cultural Sensitivity: Please refrain from wearing any costumes that may be considered culturally offensive. It’s essential to show respect for diverse backgrounds and traditions.

Avoid Controversy: We kindly ask that you avoid divisive or controversial costume choices related to current news topics. Costumes intended to dismiss or humiliate public figures, such as presidents or government officials, may need to be better received. Remember, humor is subjective, and what’s funny to one person may not be to another.

Be Mindful of Others: While funny costumes can be a hit, it’s crucial not to create humor at someone else’s expense. Offensive costumes aren’t limited to cultural appropriation or sacrilegious themes. For instance, costumes that mock pregnancy can be hurtful to individuals who are currently or have been pregnant.

No Masks or Weapons Allowed: For the safety and comfort of all attendees, please do not wear masks or bring any weapons, real or imitation, to the event. This ensures a secure environment and prevents any potential misunderstandings or concerns.

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that everyone has a fantastic time at the Halloween concert and enjoy the spirit of the season without causing discomfort or offense to anyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to celebrating Halloween together at The Barn.
