Hailing from Los Angeles, CA hip-hop duo People Under the Stairs returns to the Barn on Wednesday, April 29th for the Barn Series Finale! Formed in 1997, The P is the most successful fully independent hip-hop duo in all of hip-hop history. With a pioneering DIY ethic, they have produced 8 full-length LPs, in addition to countless singles and side projects. Their unique career includes an appearance on The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary Special, a John Peele Session at Abbey Road, and groundbreaking performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella and Bonaroo, the last of which was noted by SPIN magazine as “Simply the best performance of Friday… Period.” After completing their 8th studio album, Highlight, the P sold out tours with Mac Miller and Girl Talk before returning to the studio. The duo is devoted to jazzy samples, danceable beats, intricate rhyming skills, and laidback humor. The P is without a doubt going to bring the Barn Series its showstopping finale!
Noted in the LA Times as “one of LA’s smartest young voices,” Open Mike Eagle also returns to the Barn to share the bill with People Under the Stairs. Born and raised in Chicago, Open Mike Eagle moved to Los Angeles after graduating and joined the Project Blowed Collective where have made music and toured with Busdriver, Acevalone, Abstract Rude, Nocando, and more. He’s also been invited by professional comedians to rap at their shows. He prides himself on “releasing rap albums that delight, entertain, and confuse.”

The event is all ages and open to the public. Public parking is located on the UCR campus in Lot 6.
